Piano, dance, sports, language...we try to teach our children that when we practice, we get better at something.  Research suggests that when children practice reading, they're doing more than building grey matter - they also boost white matter, the "information highway" of our brain, which helps them think faster.

So, telling your children to "do it again" is worth the struggle.
