Multitasking Multitasking can help "confuse" the brain as much as drinking. Scientists at the University of Michigan, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Carnegie Mellon University have imaged the brains of people while they were performing various tasks. They've found that the brain cannot perfectly focus on multiple visual and audio tasks simultaneously - such as driving while talking on a cell phone.
